Rigid polyurethane foam is referred to as rigid polyurethane foam. This type of foam has the characteristics of good thermal insulation effect, light weight, high specific strength, excellent chemical resistance and good sound insulation effect. The most outstanding is its thermal insulation performance.
Mainly used for thermal insulation purposes, such as insulation layer filling materials for refrigerators and freezers, insulation of hot water, steam, heated crude oil and chemical pipelines, insulation of building roofs and walls, insulation of cold storage and refrigerated trucks, etc. . High-density polyurethane rigid foam and glass fiber reinforced rigid foam have high strength and can be molded to manufacture various imitation carved wood products, structural panels, vehicle and boat parts, imitation wood furniture, etc. Ultra-low density hard foam is used as packaging materials, etc.
1. Polyols
The polyether polyols used in rigid foam formulations are generally high functionality, high hydroxyl value (low molecular weight) polyoxypropylene polyols, commonly known as "hard foam polyethers". Their hydroxyl value is generally 350~650mgKOH/g, and their functionality is generally between 3~8.
2.Isocyanate
Polymethylene polyphenyl polyisocyanate (PAPI), which is crude MDI and polymerized MDI.
3. Foaming agent
Pentane blowing agent, HFC-245fa, HFC-365mfc, water
4. Foam stabilizer
Foam stabilizers used in rigid polyurethane foam formulations are typically block copolymers of polydimethylsiloxane and polyoxyalkylene.
5. Catalyst
Tertiary amine catalyst: N,N-dimethylcyclohexylamine, tetramethylethylenediamine, tetramethylbutanediamine, N,N'-dimethylpiperazine, triethylenediamine, etc. , triethanolamine and dimethylethanolamine, dimethylbenzylamine, N-ethylmorpholine, pentamethyldiethylenetriamine and triethylamine.
6. Other additives
Flame retardants, pore opening agents, anti-smoke agents, antioxidants, antifungal agents, toughening agents, reinforcing agents and other additives.
