Introduce

In nature and special use environments, polyurethane, like other polymer materials, undergoes thermo-oxidative degradation, hydrolysis, photodegradation and microbial degradation in the presence of light, heat, oxygen, water and microorganisms, which will increase the strength of the polymer. Decrease until it loses its use value.

In order to inhibit degradation and extend the service life of materials, antioxidants, light stabilizers and other additives that improve the durability of materials must be added.

Light stabilizers used in polyurethane mainly include UV absorbers and hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS).

Antioxidants are mainly used to prevent thermal and oxidative degradation of polyurethane. These stabilizers are divided into free radical chain blocking agents and peroxide decomposers based on their mechanism of action.
